In addition to Stock Analysis, Qickr.com continuously computes stock market data to compile stock recommendations. Stock recommendations are based on computation results, the so-called "Heat Index" Heat Index ranges between -10 and 10, and the higher (or lower) the index is, the higher (or lower) the likelihood that stocks/securities listed will increase (or decrease respectively) in the specified investment time period. Qickr.com has performed extensive testing of Qickr.com's stock recommendation engine and models. On daily basis, stock recommendations are compared and validated against actual market data. Users are able get past recommendations as well as validation results for free grouped in: - "Past Buy Signals",
- "Past Sell Signals" and
- "Past Hold Signals"
Users need to register and subscribe to one of our subscription plans to get current recommendations available in: - "Current Buy Signals",
- "Current Hold Signals" and
- "Current Sell Signals"
Users can easily see and quickly calculate the accuracy of stock recommendations. The following parameters are required to perform stock recommendation screenings in each of "Buy", "Sell" or "Hold" signal tabs: - Recency: users need to specify how far back in time the search should be performed
- Limit: limit the number of stock recommendation entries for performance reasons
The following parameters are optional to perform search of stock trading signals: - Investment Period: this indicates how long users would like to invest
- Exchange: users can specify Exchange of interest
Please note that our algorithms are optimized with the following priority: minimize "False Positives" first and then minimize "False Negatives" "False Positives" are often defined as erroneous identification of a threat or dangerous condition that turns out to be harmless. In contrast to False Positives, False Negatives are defined as erroneous identification of a benign condition that turns out to be harmful. In Stock Analysis, False Positives and False Negatives are viewed from buying opportunity perspectives. Hence in this case False Positives (False Negatives) are situations in which the Heat Index is high (low) however the stock value drops (increases) respectively over the specified investment period.
